The days leading up to solstice reflected the sunshine onto baskets filled with the fruits and flowers of summer. I spent the day harvesting solstices gifts. the red clover flowers were dried for tea for the winter months. I pickled the unripe strawberries, and made fruit leather and jam out of the ripe, juicy ones. As I processed, I allowed myself time to pause, to enjoy the sweetness of the berries. As I nibbled the fruit, I let the much needed sweetness in, to wrap me in that vibe even if just for a fleeting moment.
